Pool season is short, and everyone wants in at once. In spring the phone rings with openings, new liners and heaters that won't fire, and the people planning an inground pool for next summer call while you're down in an excavation or setting coping in another yard. You can't stop to answer every one.
Your receptionist covers the phone through the busy season. It tells callers it's an AI, asks what they need and where, and takes down their name, number and address, along with when they'd like someone to come out. Each one comes to you as a text. Pool work takes no emergency calls, so every call is taken as a message and nobody is put through; a problem that can't wait is marked URGENT so it stands out.
You keep your own number. Calls you don't answer forward to your receptionist, and every message and transcript waits in your portal, including the calls that come in over the winter about next year's pool.

Emergencies
Most pool work can wait for a call back, so every call is taken as a message and texted to you. If some of your calls can't wait, you can list your own emergencies in your profile.
Whatever your trade, a caller who mentions a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm is told to get out and call the gas company or 911 from outside. Smoke or fire, an electrical shock or someone hurt means calling 911 now. Either way, you get a SAFETY text right away.

Can it take pool opening requests in the spring rush?
Yes. Every caller gets the same questions: who they are, where the pool is and when they'd like the opening. You get a text for each, and you set the dates when you call back.
What if a pool pump stops in the middle of summer?
Pool work takes no emergency calls, so it's taken as a message and nobody is put through. When something needs attention soon, your text starts with URGENT. If you'd rather some calls came straight through, you can add your own emergencies in the portal and choose to have them put through.
Will it answer questions about liners or safety covers?
Only with what you write for it, such as which liners you install or when you start closings. Anything you haven't covered, it takes as a message for you to answer.
