Electrical calls tend to come in when you can't take them. You're in a panel, up a ladder hanging a fixture, or in an attic pulling wire for a renovation, and the phone buzzes in your pocket. Some of those calls are an EV charger quote that can wait an hour. Some are a homeowner with an outlet that's sparking, or a breaker that won't stay on.
Your receptionist picks up when you can't. It tells callers it's an AI, asks what's going on and where, and takes down their name, number and address. Panel upgrades, lighting and renovation wiring come to you as a text, along with when the caller would like someone to come by. Sparking or a burning smell, power out to the whole home, exposed or damaged wires and a breaker that keeps tripping count as emergencies: they're put through to your phone or texted right away, as you choose. While the caller waits, it tells them to stay away from anything sparking and to switch off the breaker only if it's safe.
You keep your own number. Only the calls you don't answer are forwarded, and every message and transcript is in your portal.

Emergencies
These count as emergencies for electricians. Each is put through to your phone or texted to you right away, as you choose; everything else comes to you as a message.
sparking or burning smell

exposed or damaged wires
breaker that keeps tripping
Whatever your trade, a caller who mentions a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm is told to get out and call the gas company or 911 from outside. Smoke or fire, an electrical shock or someone hurt means calling 911 now. Either way, you get a SAFETY text right away.

Puts your emergencies straight through, during business hours or any time, as you choose
Yes. Sparking or a burning smell is on an electrician's usual list of emergencies, with power out to the whole home, exposed or damaged wires and a breaker that keeps tripping, and you can change the list. The caller is told to stay away from it and to switch off the breaker only if it's safe. If there's smoke, fire or a shock, it's a safety call, and 911 comes first.
What about calls to install smoke or CO detectors?
Putting in or replacing a detector is ordinary work, so it's taken down like any other job. A carbon monoxide alarm that's going off is different: that's a safety call, and the caller is told to get out and call 911 or the gas company from outside.
Can it take calls about bigger jobs, like a panel upgrade?
Yes. It takes down what the job is, the address and when the caller would like someone to come out. It won't quote a price unless you've written your pricing policy into its answers, and it never promises a date: you call back to confirm.
Does it answer at night?
Yes, around the clock. You choose whether emergencies are put through to you only during business hours or at any hour. When nobody can be put through, the emergency comes to you as a text marked EMERGENCY.
